Utah Inaugural Commission Leadership Team
-
Brad Wilson is a real estate developer and former member of the Utah House of Representatives, representing District 15 where he served as the House Speaker from 2019 to 2023. He is a prominent business and civic leader in Utah.
As Speaker, Wilson delivered historic victories to advance conservative principles. Wilson passed the largest tax cut package in Utah state history, implemented unprecedented school choice legislation, and expanded Second Amendment protections by enacting constitutional carry.
Wilson was also unrelenting in the face of government overreach. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Wilson defended religious liberty and personal freedom by banning unelected bureaucrats from shutting down our churches, schools, and businesses, and has consistently stood up to protect Utahns public lands from federal overstep.
Additionally, Wilson has been a leading voice in the fight to protect our children, including the unborn. Wilson has fought fervently to defend the right to life, and passed legislation protecting women’s sports, banning puberty blockers, and prohibiting gender- altering surgeries for minors.
Wilson has spent over a decade fighting to defend our constitutional freedoms and keep Utah the best place to live, work, and raise a family.
In 2024, Wilson was a Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate.
Wilson was born and raised in northern Utah. After graduating from Weber State University with a degree in business, Wilson began his career in the finance industry. For the past 20 years, Wilson has started and managed several successful small businesses, employing hundreds of Utahns. Wilson and his wife, Jeni, are the parents of three children and currently reside in Kaysville. In his free time, Wilson enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and creating memories with his family and friends.
